I must say I was rather skeptical about the suggest feature when it was implemented.

However, Ive actually started to use it and it has made searching easier for me.

What I like best about it, though, is this:

I just typed in "sales skills" (blame my curiosity ;)) and google suggested to me "sales skills assessement" which made me click on it.

So apparently, it doesnt necessarily mean that feature will be bad for (optimizing for) long-tail queries (I guess there'll be fewer really specific queries, but also fewer really broad queries)

Creating long tail keywords with right combination of short key phrases can bring more results and for success, right link juice should be achieved for those keyword combinations through anchor texts in both internal and external links.

Google suggest search results count not showing up. A missing opportunity and it shouldn't be as it helps a lot for old school SEO

When we type some words in the Google suggest search box we can see search results counts at right side of each words. Now there is no option for it.
