Build an HTML equivalent as well.
Google suggests using sIFR for text in Flash.
Google supports simple JavaScript like SWFObject, sees text in Flash and extracts links in Flash. Building an (X)HTML equivalent is good for users without Flash and/or JavaScript but it may be of little if any value in terms of SEO.

Google suggests using sIFR for text in Flash.
Yes, sIFR works as well as any Hx tag for titles and first paragraphs, and is still crawlable.
I got the impression from the first question that the entire site will be in Flash, not just some of the text.

Googlebot supports simple javascript like SWFObject.
I actually, just finished researching how Google is handling Flash since the introduction of the new algorithm and support for SWFObject.

Beu, do you have the tourist version of your results - your blog article is hard for us non-techies to follow. From my own observations, you can test to see if any text from a Flash site is indexed by searching for test phrases from the site. Sometimes they are indexed, and sometimes they aren't. Is the difference likely to be the use of sIFR?

for example , if ur flash site has links to page inside ur site google now be better catch them...
Sorry SEORealTime, like SEOMax said it was on a pretty technical topic and intended for technical audiences.
That said, I just finished helping out Marketing Sherpa with their article and it's not as technical. (first of a two part series published yesterday)

Great article - I love that examples are given and that I now know how to pronounce SWFObject!
Thanks man, always appreciate feedback! :)
