Hi All,
I've been reviewing a number of threads and articles about subdomain vs. directory structure strategies for SEO. Based on my research it appears that a subdomain strategy should only be used if there is a lot of unique content to support the subdomain because search engines will treat the subdomain site as its own website. However, the articles and threads that I've been reading are 1-2 years old. Can anybody tell me if this is still true?
Also, I am particularly interested in learning about which is the best strategy to use for local search; a subdomain or directory structure i.e. ohio.domain.com vs. domain.com/ohio
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
