Could there be a technical explanation of why a site that links to me on two different pages, PR5/4 page is not showing up in my log files. (both webalizer and urchin)

I've manually clicked on these but they will not show. Something tells me that if I can't get activity tripped in the log files they may not be picked up by engine spiders.

added: Is it possible the page uses a script to exlclude being seen as "outbound" by the spiders?
