With so much emphasis being placed on link building, I have this idea.

But I'm wondering about the implications. How the search engines may view this, whether it creates an "artificial" reciprocity.

This is simply to offer the goods or services (to other businesses with web presence ) at a reduced/discounted/or even at no cost with the placement of a link placed on a web page in return from the buying party ( details: must be pr_ or above, index/secondary page/ remain for X period of months/1yr, etc

In essence this could be viewed partly as "buying links" but it could also be viewed as firming relationships. Some sites could be headed toward this.

I think the concept is rather widespread already.
