Hello,
So I have recently been put in charge of SEO for our company and I am learning alot of great things by reading these boards.

I have a question, that I searched for to no avail.

I know about AdSense and AdWords, but does Google allow you to buy certain keywords.

ex. Could I buy the word "sample" and everytime someone typed in "sample" in Google, my listing shows up first?

Thanks,
Brian

AdWords allows you to buy a paid listing on Google, which can make you rank tops in those specific areas.

Since you say you know about AdWords, I'm guessing that you're wondering if there's a way to buy a top position in the unpaid editorial results. The answer to that is no.

That is what SEO is for... but beware anyone who claims they can get you to a number one spot on organic results.
