I have 569 keywords that I want to get rid of in my Adwords account. Trouble is, each of them is in a different ad group. Do I really have to run a search in my account and click on each one of the results to delete them?

are you saying that you have 569 ad groups?

you can pause them or delete them at the group or campaign level I think.

Thanks seobook. :)

Not exactly. Let's say I want to get rid of all keyword phrases that contain the word "blue". I did a search on "blue" in my account and got 569 results. In most cases, each instance of the word is contained inside a unique adgroup that contains other words as well. So pausing/deleting the adgroup wouldn't work in this case because I only want to narrow in on one word.

I was hoping there was some quick way to select all of them and delete them (like in Overture). If not, then I'm guessing I have two options: 1) pick them out manually  or 2) upload a spreadsheet with the changes to my account rep.

Your thoughts?

Talk to your rep and give them the terms to delete spreadsheet and have them go through it... they are afterall there to help.
