Hello all, I am brand new to these forums! However, I am excited to be here!
I have recently written a pretty lengthy article on SEO for real estate professionals for MarketingPilgrim.com
I am wondering what everyones thoughts are and if there is anything I should add or change next time i write a similar piece?

BTW, I haven't yet found any rules about posting here, so if i am violating any, I apologize.

I can understand that. However, this isn't a link to my site, just my article. Any word from the jury?

Nice basic article, but if you are a newbie, you would come away with an overly simplified view of real estate SEO.
- Most of the Real Estate companies I have worked for don't use wordpress as there CMS and they don't have a blog. And, in general blog posts in the real estate vertical don't convert to leads.
- dmoz and yahoo/dir have little value when we are talking about 2+ mil in completive search.
Ranking well in a completive real estate niche comes down to one thing...money! You can't alway rely on content, esp with in real estate niche.

You maybe right that blog post don't convert to leads. But the article isn't about creating leads, its about SEO. And, it has been proven time and time again that blogs are like SEO machines. If your clients aren't using blogging at all then I doubt that they are even scratching the surface of SERPs. Now if you want to get conversions then you should couple your blog with an IDX platform that requires registration.

Do you have any research at all on this?
