Hi
I have a site which has a page rank of 2. Now if I do a web search in google.com for the keywords vw campers I come in about 4 or 5th position. If I do the same search in google.co.uk I come in position 90.
Why would this be
I have set google sitemaps not to have any geographical location so I am a bit confused as to why
Any ideas would be great

Because it's a .com site and is hosted in the US - it receives a boost in the .com version of Google.
Conversely, if you wanted to do better in the UK you'll have to move to UK hosting and possibly a .co.uk domain.

I want to do as well in both .com and .co.uk as its an international site. I currently forward my .co.uk to my .com. Would there be a better way of dong this
thanks again

Ideally if you're specifically targeting both countries then you'll need two sites.
If you do go down this route make sure that the content is re-written so it's different on both sites keeping the design the same is fine though.
Another option would be to have a cut-back version of the site on the .co.uk domain that fowards users to the main .com site.

also vw campers as a term is used much more in UK than US - so more local site mentions in UK

How do you know this AussieWebmaster.
I would like to find out how many people search for certain terms in country specifc Googles. As I may find out that it would be best to target mysite to the UK
Also I have had advice here that I should have a .co.uk site based in the UK. But my site is dynamic (DNN), so to create a simalir site in the UK would mean starting again

This estimates PPC traffic, but you can use it to analyse trends on natural positions,
https://adwords.google.com/select/TrafficEstimatorSandbox
UK Estimate - 27 clicks p/d
US Estimate - 8-10 clicks p/d
