and yes, blogspot subdomains does show up on search engines.
do you think it might be because it hasn't been very long since i made that website?
what makes a website show up on more front of the search engines, besides the keywords (like say, there were 2 almost identical website, then which would come up first?)

PR is referring to PageRank. It's one of Google's methods of ranking your site's quality and relevancy. Better PR scores can lead to better rankings, but it's not the only measure taken into account.
do you think it might be because it hasn't been very long since i made that website? What exactly is "not very long?" A majority of SE spiders only crawl for sites every 30 days or so. And even then, they won't find your site if there are no existing links on other sites for the spiders to find it. You can try submitting to search engines directly to make sure it gets indexed. And even then, it can take a few months for your position to increase and settle in based on the site quality.

Well that, I'm afraid, is more than I can convey in one post. Basically any of the SEO techniques you find on this site and others will help you boost the quality of your site and, in turn, increase your rankings & visiblitiy. Start by reading SEO articles and how-to's and take some notes on how you can implement ideas you like into your own site. Everything from title/meta tags, content optimization and link building can help you increase visibility and relevancy. It just depends on what state your site is in now vs. where you want it to be. And then if you come across specific issues, just fire away with your questions here on the SEW forums.

Try comenting to others'blogs on relevant topics, social bookings, continuous forum participation, and keep on updating your blog with new interesting posts. Make sure while doing all these you rightfully make your keywords visible.....
Build your neighbourhood using online communties, you can see what you expect as you work for it, also work as per metasynman :)

don't know about 1 week... but submitting does eventually work but you need inbound links for there to be any traction

Few days ago my blog purebathroom.blogspot.com was not crawled regularly.
After submiting it into different blog directories the problem has been solved.
