If anybody still cares, Barry Diller just got approval from the Delaware Chancellery Court to proceed with the breakup of IAC, Ask's parent, into five companies. Ticketmaster, Lending Tree (caught up in the subprime mortgage debacle), the vacation timeshare thing, the Home Shopping Network, and some of the other strange acquisitions will be sold off.

IAC will keep Ask, Match.com, Shoebuy.com, Evite, Citysearch, etc. At least that's the current plan.

Ask can probably continue to be ignored.

LOL That got a chuckle.

They had some cool features from the user standpoint, but for goodness sakes, they have to work on their search results. Then they add better publisher and advertising tools. That is my opinion.
