I've just been testing out www.ask.co.uk and the results are pretty terrible when selected for UK.
My initial impression is that the UK search will only deal with websites that use .uk domain names.
This does seem a pretty incredible practice if so - at least Google has the decency to include UK sites on the basis of using a UK IP. After all, a lot of companies and webmasters will seek out .com, .net, and .org.
Simply listing .uk domains makes about as much sense as a search engine for the USA only returning results for domains which as .us.
So my question is - does anyone know when Ask are planning to use IP based delivery for UK results? Or are they going to leave up what is essentially one awful narrow set of results?
