Link building is not tough but we can’t say that its so easy. It’s a part of seo. I was start my carrier from link building. I think if our site is new there is no pr and that is not in cache. So that is need to link exchange u should try to add relevant links because non relevant links hurt your site pr. So always remember your if u add your site so that is relevant and always add relevant link in your site. One way linking is the best way to promote your site and u should join forums. Add fresh content in your site. Add blog and articles.

Yep, and if you'll suddenly write a good and useful article and people will "Digg" it, you'll get HUGE traffic and all that cool stuff that follows it :)))

agree with you...but submitting in directory site there is no guarantee if you will get listed..

That's the reason I told you in my previous thread that If we submit to 1000 Web Directories, we should expect at least 30% (i.e. 300) as back links even though it is always more. It is in between 30% to 90% depend on the site approval of directory manager.
