Does anyone how search engine feel about sub-domains. I've seen some SEO's use sub domains to promote client's by creating an industry specific page like dentistry.seocompany.com. My understanding is that you would not want your site tobe off topic. Would having many sub-domains all in different industries affect the ranking negatively of the main domain and therefore have little if any benefit for the ranking of the industry sub-domains?
