If this is hard to understand, please let me know.
There is a highly visited site that I would almost consider an authority site for a given verticle.
The site has normal text links to a few other sites on its equipment page (page has a PR7). All the the sites that it is linking to do not show ANY backlinks coming from the PR7 site? None of them.
This is what I have checked so far:
1. robots txt file of site does not restrict any bots or anything for that page or category
2. the links are not in javascript
3. the url of the main site and equipment page is indexed in all engines
3. the landing page urls of the text links are not indexed in any engine for any of the outside sites.
Because all outside sites are affected, I am assuming it is a problem with the main site. What else would cause engines to not follow a text link on a page?
