I'm trying to get a lot of backlinks to some of the INTERNAL pages on my website, but I'm not sure what URL I should have people link to so that they all count in PageRank.
For example, I have a subdirectory (www.domain.com/subdir/) that I'd like to get some links to. This directory has an index.htm page that is the default.
Now, if I search google for this page, the URL it links to is www.domain.com/subdir/ WITHOUT the index.htm on the end.
So, does that mean when I get people to link I should have them link to www.domain.com/subdir/ or www.domain.com/subdir/index.htm and does it even make a difference in the eyes of the PageRank algorithmn???
