Hey everyone, I am not really new to the idea of Affiliate Marketing but I have yet to make 1 Dollar. My latest venture involved registering a domain name and redirecting the domain name to my affiliate link. advertising of course, is my biggest problem. I have advertised all over the web. Some free, some paid for. I am seriously thinking of rolling the dice and spending a heap of money on a radio commercial or full page ad in a newspaper or magazine. Anyone think that’s a good Idea?? Or got any new ideas for a clickbank wannabe like myself?? ...Thanks!

registering a domain name and redirecting the domain name to my affiliate linkNot a good idea at all, that's something I'd definitely give up on.
If you know PPC very well you can do direct to merchant, where allowed (check the TOS carefully), otherwise just put up some content and normal affiliate links on the domain and do an affiliate site. It takes a while to start getting traffic, but at least that way you're building something long term.
got any new ideas for a clickbank wannabe like myself?? Yep, turn into a clickbank dontwannabe and find something substantial, like tangible consumer products.

Yes we should not quit just because one project is not making money YET. We should always review back as to why we are not producing the necessary results if we have put in sufficient efforts. Perhaps we are doing it the wrong way or we did not research well but whatever the reasons may be, do not give up. Discover via your interests, your passion, your job and start with a niche you love and you cannot go wrong. I suggest you to check out the site wantedpronto.co.uk/affiliatezone/?source=331458LI3573G2
a reliable resource for making online earning.
Let me end with a quote:
"If you start to think the problem is ‘out there,’ stop yourself. That thought is the problem."

The days of easy money and opportunities on the web are pretty much long gone. Ask yourself if something is easy for you to do, then it's certainly easy for others to do and probably about a million times before.
Nowadays the web is all about adding value and user experience. If you can't do that with your site, then it's unlikely that you're going to get rich.
If you're looking to make money through affiliates then it's even more important, as you're probably also competing with hundreds of other people selling exactly the same products on an affiliate basis.
You need to look at creating a well designed website that actually offers a lot more than product listings and links. To distinguish yourself from your competition you need to add value - that may be in the way of well written articles and advice, product comparisons, widgets or community.
Whatever it is it needs to be done, and done well.

I started in affiliate marketing...........(management side)
I have know of mom's, dad's, and kid's who have made millions in affilaite commissions.............
flamingoworld.com/momsview/alexscoupons/slcikdeals/bradsdeals etc.
I have also know of companies who are fortune 1000 companies who go there start in affiliate marketing
fatwallet, mypoints, ebates, smarter.com, etc.
Someone said earlier that making money through affiliate marketing is harder and harder, now with late night televsion commericals, and how to make $ on the web sites and publications, the days in making millions in affilaite marketing are dead.
Get out, add value, and become a contextual portal. I think I heard the poster say, that he was buying domains, and search terms and redirecting them, that is not cool, and it blemishes the internet and the value of the content on the web. Just because other people are doing does not mean that you should do it, and does not mean that it "adds value"
If you are going to stay in affiliate marketing, create a niche that no one else is doing, meaning no coupons, deal, datafeed, price comparison site, etc.
So something that has not been done yet and maybe you will strike it rich, but you will need to be creative.
