View Full Version : text link ads - Worth it?
Hi there
I have just come accross a web site called text-link-ads and they seem to be offering a very good link selling service.
Can anyone give me any more info on that , are they worth it? my business is located in the UK so would it work ?
Thanks

They used to work quite well and even have a category of UK websites to gain links on, although with the new algo changes that Google are making I wouldn't personally use them any more. In fact I've found a footprint which will actually allow anyone to find out if your publishing Text-Link-Ads and who is advertising on them. Your best bet is to approach sites individually or use a service such as ReviewMe which shouldn't leave a footprint.
Excellent, thanks for the tip. Can you devellop a bit more on the "review me" thing you have mentionned. What is it?

ReviewMe is one of a few advertising brokers who connect advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can select blogs/sites from the broker's portfolio who they'd like to write about their product/service. If the blogger accepts your request, they post an in depth independent review of your product/service to their blog and link over to you. The review does not have to be positive, so it's not strictly paid advertising.
I'd personally recommend taking the route of finding possible link sources yourself though. It only takes a single pattern or sponsor admission for Google to find you out in the near or distant future.
