I dont get it I see all sorts of folks pointing at Alexa for rankings on their web stats and some relating that to domain value and part of their strategy to get higher rankings?

I have a domain name that commands top 2 rankings for 10 highly desirable keyword phrases and have held these positions for the past 3 years. We get a TON of traffic in this niche... to the tune of 15k unique visitors a month.

Alexa shows that we are an ant on an elephants ass. I dont care too much, but knowing this I cant see what value people really think Alexa offers?

The biggest value I've seen is boosting CEO egos when they install the toolbar and watch their own site's stats climb...

Alexa is almost of no value!

OK just as I thought. I have to compliment them on their marketing though. They really have done well getting CEO's into an ego pissing contest with each other.
