We have a 300+ page website and so far have been unable to find a solution to prevent duplicate urls. For example our homepage can currently be found on: http://www. ecclesiastical.com/ and ecclesiastical.com/index.aspx... so far the search engines haven't penalised us and appear to be wise to the fact that /index.aspx is our main page and so far have ignored ecclesiastical.com/.... We have been unsuccessful in implementing 301-re-directs from / pages to the index.aspx page and basicly what i want to know is, is this just luck that so far it hasn't affected our SEO and do i have a problem that in a couple of days will manifest itself? Or are search engines wise to problems with 301 - redirects?
