Hello,

Is it possible with Google Analytics to cut the data so that I can see things like top pages, of or duration of stay, but only for visitors from a certain referring source?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

I don't think that's possible with Analytics. A package like Clicktracks can do that however.

I was hoping I could do it for free with Google Analytics.

Hi,

There is one extremely limited way to do this for a specific domain or a few domains... You have up to 10 profiles in Google Analytics; let's say you had extra profiles that you didn't use. Make one of those profiles use your existing domain but set up a custom filter on that profile that says referral must equal say google.com.

It ain't pretty, it ain't scalable, but if you were only concerned with either somebody big/specific like Google or with a partner site or two, you can pull it off in this way. I have 3 profiles setup to do different filters on one domain and this helps me drill deeper then GA usually allows.

Best of luck.

hiya,

Yes you can get this information in Google Analytics actually!

Go to: Content Optimisation => Top Content => chose the page you are intrested in then click the upwards red icon on the right (Anaysis Options), you then get loads of options, choose Cross Segment Performance => chose Source

Volla you get a list of the referring sources that generated traffic to that particular page!

Hope that makes sense!

Cheers

Check out www.statcounter.com (http://www.statcounter.com). The free version is a little limited but still gives you more information than Google does
