Hello, and happy new year. My site has been up and running for about four months now. What i have been doing is adding to my site, trying to make it look better. Adding useful information to relevant forums, and adding my site to directories. However my traffic has not got better. Am i doing the right things here to promote my site?. I know that some directories have said that it may be 6 months before my site is considered, when it is a free submission.

You should work out for adding good content and obtain quality backlinks, just not limited to directories also get involve in top rated social networking sites, and relevant blogs & forums as well for promotion.

Sorry quite new to this. How would i get good backlinks? By posting in good forums.
