I read, that google didnt show up all(most) of the backlinks to a site. I also read, the linkdomain operator in yahoo did show up most (all?) of the backlinks.

is this really true, b/c i've been analyzing a few sites, but when the number 1 site for a rather generic term doesn't show up any backlinks (I also used other sites, which did show up thousands of backlinks), something must be wrong ?!

Also..what's the right way to use the allintitle/allinanchor - operators? I read you used them with '...' but for me it seems to only work without them..so i guess the site, where i read it only made a slight typo?

I usually find that MSN is the best for checking all backlinks as there's very little filtering. Yahoo Site Explorer (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/) is also a very helpful tool.
