View Full Version : Do you target specific Google regional sites?

I noticed that search results can vary between the following Google sites (using Canada as an example):

- Google.com (provides US skewed results)
- Google.ca ("the web" option provides Canadian skewed results)
- Google.ca ("pages from Canada" option provides sites that are based in Canada?)

For example the website I'm optimizing can rank very differently for the same keywords across the three Google sites above.

How do you deal with this kind of situation if you are trying to target a specific region? But at the same time users from that region could be using Google.com instead of Google.ca or Google.co.uk.

For example here in Canada it is not guaranteed that Canadians will use Google.ca...they could use Google.com.

Thoughts?
