Hi everbody! I am new to SEO and this group. I would like to now if i
advertise my website url on related pages on yahoo, ebay, indiatimes
etc would my website be considered 4 high page ranking? Also what is a
sponsored link and how it is able to get top ranking in the
search result pages.

It would be very expensive to buy advertising on those sites, and doing PPC won't help at all with PR.
