I've learned over the past couple of days (thanks to vayapues & others) that the quickest way to get my site indexed is by getting good inbound links. I was wondering whether or not my site would get indexed by Google when I open an Adwords account?

Thanks,
Kristin

G says there's no preferential treatment for adwords or adsense sites.

Even if that did get you started, you would still need incoming links to stay indexed.

Get a few links. You'll see results within a week or two.

If you are willing to spend money on AdWords then you can also spend money to get some quality links. For instance, find a site which is a leader in your industry, one which is popular and has decent PageRank (let's say 7 or higher) and see if you can write an article for them (ask them what topics they would like covered or suggest your own if you have any ideas of interested topics). This can work particularly well for news and media sites within your industry. You can either write the articles yourself or higher a quality copy writer who is famililar with your industry and have them write you an article (or a few articles). You can probably find a list of such sites by going to the Google directory (which is powered by DMOZ) and looking up the News and Media category as relates to your industry. You can find the Google directory at http://dir.google.com. You may even be able to find a few such sites. Not only will this help your site get indexed, but it will give you some quality links, send targeted traffic to your site and help your reputation within your industry.

Best of luck,

I agree with everyone but i would recommend that you do not purchase links.

Instead go for directory submission.

I also wont suggest buying a link. But buying a link will not harm unless the link is relevant & quality one with high PR. The link which is not related yr site with high PR may send you traffic but not the desired PR. Spiders will look for a quality & relevant incoming links first.
