View Full Version : I Don't get a Single Click
Hi all,
I'm running campaings for my company in Google, Overture and microsoft adcenter. I'm getting good traffic from Google and Overture for the keywords. But I don't get a single click from adcenter. Then.......I got a doubt that whether adcenter is working or not. Maximum keywords are having good demand. they are all within pisition 6. Till now i'm getting 700 impressions. The campaign is running for the past 6 days. I've set a reasonable monthly budget. Please help me to get some good clicks. Thanks

There are a lot of things that could effect your CTR. I am always amazed at the difference that can be achieved through careful tweaking and analysis of your ads. Everything from copy, to who you are delivering your ads through, to what sites you are allowing them to be displayed on can and will make a difference.
My suggestion is to look at the copy of your ad. What does your ad say? Is it clear? Does it state what your product or service is? Does it have an effective call to action?
Look at who the ad is being displayed to, and where it is being displayed. If it is coming up on scraper sites, your chances of getting a good click that actually may convert into a sale are lower than if it comes from other types of sites.
Finally, the best advice I can give you is to hire an expert. Someone who will help you not only get the clicks you want, but also pay less for them. Someone who can help you create a campaign that targets the long-tail of search for your products and services, where the cost per click is much lower, and the conversion rate is often much higher.
Hard to give you any more specific advice than that without actually digging into your specific case in more depth, and without knowing more about your goals. This is why hiring an expert is a very good idea.

Uma,
Without knowing many details about your campaigns I cant comment in detail about what you may want to do.
You're ad creative and landing page can have an effect on your ads position.
So make sure the basics are in place, spelling, links, titles and content that is on topic - no all image pages.
Use Exact, Phrase and Broad match.
Use correctly spelled words in your list first, get them accepted THEN add incorrect spellings.
Play around with the demo targeting and day parting features.
We know who the decision makers are in our target market and we raise the % on our bids to reach them. We also know when people are browsers and when they are more apt to take action and we increase cpc % for those times of the day and days of the week. It takes time and understanding of your market to do this effectively, but when you get it going it is very powerful!
With that said one area you may want to explore is your max cpc.
We have found that for competitive terms we had to use MSN's "estimated" bid for #1 position. This bid price has been as high as $22! Over 4 times the CPC on other engines. This created the traffic, however the actual average cost per click on this $22 bid was around $3.75. So although a bit worrisome to bid that high at first, it has paid off. Do be careful though, raise the bids slowly and watch minute by minute.
You can also contact MSN Adcenter directly for some generic advice and help.
Hope that helps

Hi Uma,

....and note all his previous advice as well.
Some time recently I ran into a similar situation as you, but not as bad with zero traffic or CTRs, I just played around with the "Enter your maximum base bid (CPC)" section until I was able to achieve my desired position (#1 & #3). Try that, it should do the trick, :).
