Any ideas if there is a freeware/shareware tool that analyzes log-files and shows how much of the traffic is from spiders?

All web stats/analytics packages should do this as a basic feature, including AWStats and Webalizer. It's usually shown under a "User Agents" section of the reports. A more capable (commercial) analyser such as Nedstat or ClickTracks should be able to show the click paths, timestamps and behaviour of bots as well.
