I have a campaign up on adwords and the bid is at .21. The rank is 3.4 avg for search - must be a lot higher for content matches.

Can someone explain over 4000 impressions without a single click? I have at least 5 to 7 ad variations on every adgroup. I mean - I may be bad at writing ads, but can anyone be THIS bad????

Why no ad clicks?
copy of stats:

Active $15.00 / day 0 4,653 0.00% - $0.00 0.00% $0.00

oh yeah - I raised the minimum bid to 52 cents and still nothing...

Now I raised it to $1 and still nothing... in fact, my position has gone down to 5.7 any help here?

Now I have increased my bid to $5 just to see if I'll get any clicks. what in the heck is going on? No clicks so far....

Now up to $7 a click and NO clicks...

One other note - my stats say that Google has been on my site toady for over an hour in 4 different visits. Check out my page: www.7steps2freedom.com/blog/?page_id=2

If I am doing something wrong would someone tell me?

Somethiong even more amazing or at least questionable at best... I went to overture and bid the top spot for all the same keywords I was bidding on on Google. Guess what? No clickthrus in the last 2 hours. My ads got approved within 10 minutes on overture so they should have started showing up almost immediately.

Can anyone here shed some light on this wierd stuff?

I have now gotten frustrated and increased my bid to $10 per click. I am still ranked down below 6 in the positiions and still haven't received any clicks.

Whats great about this forum is all of the wonderful knowledge that people have and are willing to share! So - if ya don't mind, please share.

hello? anyone? It just seems unbelieveable to me. I have been an adwords customer for 2 years and have never seen anything like it.

Any opinions?

I appreciate all of the keen insight provided here!

Hopefuly you will get some responses here. I will share some thoughts.

>increased my bid to $10 per click. I am still ranked down below 6 in the positiions

Quality Score could be keeping your position down. Not knowing what your exact keywords are it’s hard to say. But with a CTR like yours, QS will just keep getting worse even if the other QS factors are good which may not be the case.

>over 4000 impressions without a single click

If this includes content matches then you are lucky it’s not 4000 clicks without a sale ;-)

Wish I could help more.

Try turning off content and have the terms as exact match.... see what numbers you get then

I changed my ad to exactly match my keywords. I set my bid at 26 cents. According to the position estimate, I should have my ad showing in ositions 3 to 10 for a lot of my keywords.

I just searched all the way to position 720 for 2 keywords - no ad - period. The ones I am supposed to be in position 3 or 5 or 7 - NO AD. Does anyone have any idea why ads just won't show up?

I also sent an email yesterday to Adwords but haven't heard a peep.

A side note - now it appears that content is not working for this ad group. Zero since last night on impressions on content network.

You have 720 other people advertising in the space?

At position 7-10 you would have to refresh quite a bit to see your ad

Would you be prepared to tell us the keyphrase and content of the ad??
