I am trying to quickly create a PPC program on MSN identical to my Google campaigns. I am having problems understanding the bidding on MSN and I need someone to straighten me out quickly.

If I bid 3.00 as the base bid and all the competing bids are .05 cents, will I only be charged .06 cents for a click or $3.00?

Sounds like a stupid question (and it is!), but I am in a hurry. Thanks, Tonerman

Yes tonerman, in theory you would only pay .06. But this is a system more like Google where your position is based on other things besides the bid. CTR etc. count too, so if you say you will pay $3 and there is someone else bidding on that word with a better click through rate you will pay more than .06 most likely. How much more is iffy. You will then have to look at your data and adjust from there....

I appreciate quick feedback. So, in other words, it is just like or similar to Google. Knew it was a dumb question, but the ad center interface and help screens are pretty clunky right this minute and I didn't want to screw up my initial ad campaigns.

Pretty good - I asked a dumb question and I got a smart answer. Thanks.
