Hello everyone, i just started a blog about Baja, the place where i live, so far google has indexed it about 4 times, the last one on june 17th, i started using blogger and i switch to wordpress since blogger was down a lot or couldn't publish a lot or.. well that's not the topic.

I got some good links from travel directories, i put a link on wikipedia in the Baja California section, and i put links on other websites i own (baja related), the blog appears in the top position in google for baja blog, but so far i don't have too much traffic, it's ok since it's new and well is not too big yet but i'm not getting comments, i wonder if you can check it and give me some advice.

The url is www.thebajablog.com thank you so much for your advice

Change the template so the blog post titles appear first in the title tags. You might consider using Technorati tags and other social bookmark tags. Here's a list of 25 blog marketing ideas (http://www.searchengineguide.com/odden/007754.html) that may be useful. Disclaimer: I wrote the 25 tips, but the link does not go to my site or my blog.

You need to engage your readers with your content to prompt them to comment. Also, avoid using any spam-protection, anti-comment plugins that make commenting troublesome. The default Akismet plugin should be enough.

To get comments, you really need to wait for more traffic. On popular blogs, there aren't many comments, too. Reading and commenting are two completely different things, really.

You may want to use the Optimal Title WordPress plugin.
Also, there is Jerome's Keywords technorati tags plugin, too.

You may want to use the Semiology Social WordPress plugin as well to join the social bookmarking frenzy.
