I was wondering if anyone had any idea if Google was planning to buy Digital Point because it appears on alot of search results.

Google likes fresh content and DP gets a lot of pages indexed because it is a fast growing forum, the main reason is the diversity of the subject matter, just about any subject that humans have conceived in their minds has been posted there and that is the main reason you see DP coming up in many keyword searches!

It makes no sense for Google to purchase Digital Point or any other forum because there would be a conflict of interest. Now if Gateway or Dell or another hardware provider were to purchase a new set of blade servers for Digital Point in exchange for advertising consideration, that would be smart.
