One of the best ways is to submit your article to a trusted source such as PRWeb which has a paid option which includes submission to Google/Yahoo News as part of the service. Other sites offering a similar service are also available and I would advise doing your research on these in order to make sure you get the option most fit for purpose.

My best advice is to do your homework. Sometimes you may be better targgeting your articles, to editors of relevant publications (both online and offline), rather than follow the traditional pr syndication route.

The best thing to do is to track others that show up in the news and see where their article is being published. I have done it and it works great.
