I have been tracking my total number of links and right now Google only shows 3 while MSN and Yahoo have us down for several thousand. Why is Google so slow on finding our inbound links and what can I do to increase the recognizable inbound links from Google. I will also note that our site is only a couple of months old. Could this be a contributing factor?

I understand that quality is better than quanity, but I am just puzzled was to why there is such a descrepancy.

Hi Casey, the short answer is that Google never discloses all of your indexed links in its links: command. You can trust that Google has seen other links, but that they are not listing them. The fact that your site is new has something to do with it also, but that is another topic. In the meantime, I would advise that you trust Yahoo's results, and wait for a few months before hoping to get much headway in Google. They will probably never disclose all their indexed links to any site.
