In case you're in need for more Google coverage, tonight's Nightline on ABC will offer a 30 minute look at the company.

Here's the blurb from the web site:

If you're on the web, and you want to find something, you Google it. If you are curious about a person or a place, you Google them. If you need a phone number or an address, just Google it. It's Google to the rescue. Now, with Google about to become a publicly traded company, maybe even reviving Silicon Valley, it's about time we researched it, no?

Note to ABC: I hope you realize that Google is not the only search tool out there.

Just watched it. Interesting coverage, from what you can condense into a 30 minute segment. A lot of focus on the past i.e the founders of Excite and the dot com boom-bust but several interviews with economists and investors who gave mixed reviews as to the initial success of the IPO. Its interesting to see how mainstream America views our industry and their basic grasp of the way the online advertising business model works.

Yea, I saw a piece of it. The Google founders didn't sound like executives, IMO. But I only saw about 7 minutes.

I was amazed that the report didn't at least mention the dual class structure especially since Google tries to be "of the people" and the fact that their two largest competitors (YHOO and MSFT) don't have this set-up.

CNBC just spoke to the respected Nell Minow from The Corporate Library (http://www.corporatelibrary.com) who said dual class is often a recipe for disaster.
