I've seen a lot of discussion regarding the seperation of keywords in domain names and the suggestions of using hyphens. However what is the best way to seperate keywords in content?
We are trying to optimize the following text:
-- "We specialize in commercial boat insurance and commercial marine insurance."
However due to space restrictions, we are forced to shorten this phrase. Can anyone forsee any possible problems with replacing the above text with this?
-- "We specialize in commercial boat/marine insurance."
Will the search engines still recognize them as prominent keywords regarding their proximity and will they still recognize the key phrases "commercial boat insurance" and "commerical marine insurance"? I am not sure how spiders see non-letter characters or if it would consider the slash an escape character of some sort. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
