How much longer will Froogle be in Beta? It's been a long time, no?

If my products pricing is somewhere in the middle of the rest of the SERPS on Froogle can I expect to do well?

Hello, everyone! Thanks for the introduction, rustybrick. I'm happy to be a part of this forum :)

It's true that Froogle is still in beta. We're working hard on different features and functions to help improve your shopping experience with Froogle, and we're always open to suggestions!

Whether or not your products' price range is the "right" one really depends on what the users are looking for! What's most important for Froogle is to make sure your feed is formatted correctly and that you've included all relevant information about your products in your data feed.

Again, thanks for the welcome and I'm looking forward to hanging out here with you all.

Hello FroogleRep,

Thank you very much for spending part of your valuable "Google time" here at SEW Forums and listen for our feedback. Your recommendations and the information that you share with us here is what makes this forum be be unique and stand out from the others.

What's most important for Froogle is to make sure your feed is formatted correctly and that you've included all relevant information about your products in your data feed.
Perhaps you could start a new thread giving us direct tips and tricks to building the ideal feed for Froogle? What should we pay attention to? What are the limits? How often do we resend our feed? Etc. . .

Let's go from Basic Instructions (https://www.google.com/froogle/merchants/basic_feed_instructions.html) to a more Advanced Instructions for SEM Experts.

Thanks! :)

froogleRep:

1) in my industry, it seems that a particular company's products continuously appears on top of ours. even if the products are exactly the same. does froogle give any 'google' domain rank consideration for domains also feeding froogle?

2) is it better (in terms of product ranking) to use the additonal fields that aren't required. (things like instock, etc...)

3) we currently have over 7,700 products indexed and appearing in froogle and our feed is the exact same number; however, the froogle merchant center reports that our feed has "minor errors". how can we figure out what these errors are. i have deeply studied the glossary of errors and faqs, but as far as i can tell - our feed is right on.

also, could you simply offer up a list of best practices that may not be in the faq. i noticed you guys make changes alot to areas of adwords and never update the faqs ...perhaps there are some gems for froogle that we don't know about.

thanks.

Hello again, everyone.

Nacho, you may be interested in our Advanced Instructions, which are available on the Merchant Center home page. Included in the advanced options are some additional data fields that you can include, and options available to high-volume sellers of books, music, and video.

Sebastian, you may want to check out these advanced fields, too. When a user enters a query, Froogle searches over ALL the fields in your feed, so the more information you include, the greater chance your product will be returned.

As for your question about the Merchant Center, a "minor error" is an error on a specific line of the feed, which will prevent us from displaying the products on that line, but not from displaying the rest of your products on Froogle. You can click on the "help" link next to each error noted in the Merchant Center for more information about that particular error. For most errors, we've provided advice on how to fix the problem. If you're not sure how to fix the error, you can email us at feeds-support@google.com and our feeds specialists will be happy to assist you!

Hello,
I've got a "feed will not go live" with no actual processing errors. I was lead to believe this means I am waiting for a review of my feed. It has been like this since the 18th of this month. Is this waiting for a review or does it say "feed will not go live" because I am a UK store?

Regards.
