Hi there,
I am running a webpage with user generated content in german language and would now like to open the same site for Switzerland under .ch and Austria under .at
Here is my question:
Am I in danger, that google will penalize any of those pages as it thinks that there is simple content duplication? The application will stay the same, but the user generated postings will be seperated. So there are still enough similar pages since the application has sites like help etc. in the same language.
I did this prior with another page of mine, but there the language was english and german, but in that case english content was available on the german page as well after filters have been set by the user. The site structure including links are in german /english. But the same content is available under .de/report/test.html and under .com/bericht/test.html Unfortunatelly that page has never reached ANY PR in the last 8 months :-(
Now I do fear that the same will happen with the new page of mine.
Any suggestions on what I could do to not run in such problems?
Thank you for any suggestion.
Merlin
