I'm getting what I call a "search tool relevance" indicator on the top left of my Google results pages.

Example:

> WEB (PR 8) - (shown as the green bar)
Images (PR 3) - (shown as the green bar)
Groups (PR 6) - (shown as the green bar)
News (PR 5) - (shown as the green bar)
Froogle (PR 7) - (shown as the green bar)
Local (PR 6) - (shown as the green bar)

This as a way to show you how prevalent that which you've searched for is represented in Google's various search tools.

I wanted to attach a flippn screenshot, but no matter what size I make it, I'm receiving a file size error. Maybe we are not allowed to upload images?

I think many of us will have seen this screen shot before - well, not yours, but one like. All of us will be keen to see it again, though.

What you can do is create a one off Flickr account, host it there and then link to it. Some of the captures of Google GUI tests have been very popular and I suspect neither Incisive Interactive Marketing nor you would want to take the bandwidth hit.

Thanks for making the effort too.

This is already a controversial GUI test. Personally, I quite like it, it emphasises the other shades of Google and therefore will encourage users to find Google Base, Groups, etc.

Wail, good idea. As per your suggestion, I have created an account and have uploaded the screen shot. Enjoy!

It looks like they are still doing testing on this new search results UI 6 months after it was first spotted.
