Hi to all,

The Blog page of my site has a good PR at Google,
but under the TITLE of the page you find the following:
"File Format: Unrecognized".

Clicking on the TITLE, the page does NOT appear. Instead of that you
receive the xml file. Therefore the good PR is worthless.

The other pages of my site are OK at Google. Only the Blog page of my site has this problem.

How can I fix this issue?

The same Blog page has no problem in Yahoo!

I did a search for "File Format: Unrecognized" in Google.
I checked many pages there, but I did not find any recommendation to solve this problem.

Any help I would highly appreciate

It looks like Google thinks more highly of your syndication feed than your blog. I predict it will sort itself out in time (and the PR is helpful).

However, if you're really worried, you can use .htaccess or a virtual directory to swap your .xml file for a 301 redirect to your blog. Publish your RSS under a different file name.

Thank you Beginner,

It seems to me that you are not a Beginner. :)

Your explanation shows that the BIG GOOGLE is also not perfect... sometimes... what was for me unimaginable earlier.

Google, nor any other SE, is perfect ... after all, they were created by humans :)
